Rocket Workshop (July 10-25)

Crisp Museum

Fee and pre-registration required.

Three weekends, Saturdays or Sundays, July 10-25, 1-4 p.m.

It really is rocket science! Participants won’t just learn about the science and technology of rockets in the three-weekend workshop, but will also construct a 12-inch, Estes Viking rocket model to launch and take home.
Week 1 includes wing shape testing with straw rockets, and the beginning of the Viking model. Week 2 includes a trajectory lesson and finishing the model. The last session will be the launch date.

Preregistration is due by July 3, 2021 and a $20 fee is due by June 5. Seating is limited. Supplies will be provided, and no experience is required. Workshop leaders are Gary Tyler and Jim Phillips.

Two sessions are offered on either Saturday or Sunday for ages 10 and up.
