Watercolor Workshops with Brenda Seyer (June 26)
Fee and pre-registration required.
June 26 and 27, from 1-4 p.m. for High School age
During this workshop, taught by local artist Brenda Seyer, participants will explore watercolor’s abilities as they create practice works with their own creativity and from reference images. The use of watercolor can be purposeful where the painter manipulates pigments with other materials or as carefree as letting the pigment flow across the surface with minimal manipulation.
Seyer’s workshops are for an introductory level painter. The adult session includes instructions in painting realistic objects, animals, and landscapes. The high school session covers a variety of techniques and methods of creating with watercolor.
In both sessions, Seyer will demonstrate how watercolor can create a variety of images, from solid to translucent and light to dark, using single and multiple colors.
Preregistration and a $25 fee is due by June 5. Seating is limited. A supply list will be provided.
Face coverings will be required, and social distancing guidelines will be in place.
